Google+ Local Expands Phone Support To Include Data Issues

Well, how ’bout that? Google+ Local phone support seems to be a huge success (so far) since it’s now been expanded to include all data related issues. Three weeks ago, it wasn’t possible for businesses to get helpful support in any way regarding their places on Google+ Local. Two weeks ago, we were able to start calling Google to address our verification issues. And as of this week, we’re able to get support on all sorts of complicated data issues. The “data” issues Google+ Local is now providing phone support are include:

  • Place title
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • URL
  • Description
  • Categories
  • Hours
  • Coupons

Check out this great screenshot that shows the phone support available: google-local-data-support

How do I get support for my data issues?

So, if you’re ready to hop in and get your phone support you just have to follow 5 simple steps:

  1. Try to fix your issue by using the “Report a problem” link found on your listing
  2. If that doesn’t address your problem, click into the “My listing has incorrect information” link on Google
  3. Select “Listing data, including title, address, phone, URL, “at a glance” terms, categories, hours, description, or coupons”
  4. Confirm that you did try to use the “Report a problem” link on your listing
  5. Click on “Call us”

That’s it! You’re now well on your way to fixing your Google+ Local data issues. Everybody here at LocalVox has had great success with Google’s new phone support in both verifying listings and fixing issues with data.
